IT IS ALWAYS KITTEN SEASON
And we have dozens of precious kittens in our foster care network! The little ones are arriving for the second wave of "summer" litters and we still need help! If you can foster, please let us know as quickly as possible! Special items for kitten care are also highly desired during these months and year round. Please see our Ways to Help page for details.
Kittens are not available for adoption until they weigh 2 pounds and can be spay or neutered. Kitten adoptions include the spay/neuter, testing for leukemia, and their complete series of kitten shots and deworming. This is usually between 8-10 weeks of age.
REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS

Kittens are arriving every day and many will enter our network of foster care with various families. Kittens are a lifelong commitment and the decision to adopt should be a thoughtful one. Feel free to stop by our rescue any Saturday at PETCO to learn how you can get your home ready for a cat or kitten. We request that all adoptions be to "indoor" only homes. We have invested a great deal in our foster cats and kittens, and want you and your new kitty to have a long lasting relationship together that an indoor home can provide.

BECOME A FOSTER PARENT
Foster homes are the backbone of any pet rescue organization. They are families just like yours that provide a safe, temporary home environment for rescued cats and kittens to rest, recuperate and prepare to meet their forever families. The cats in foster care benefit greatly from love and attention and living in a home; for some rescue kittens, it may be their very first home.
As a rescue foster home, you provide the food, a comfortable place to sleep and all the love you can spare. A Cat's Tale will cover all of your foster kitty’s medical expenses, including medications, and provides any special equipment or supplies.
We ask the foster family to treat the foster cat like any other member of the family. Get to know the pet. Any insight you can offer is helpful to the rescue's placement decision. Together, you and A Cat's Tale can decide what kind of home will be best for your foster kitty.
We understand that families often fall in love with their foster kitty and can’t imagine their home without them. If you and A Cat's Tale decide the cat or kitten is a good match for your family, we are happy to discuss their permanent placement with you.
